Sleepwalker 03:34
Sleepwalker (Tony Marsico 2023) (Verse) When the fire meets the sky Shadows move room to room You paint your face and cry Through the gloom Have you seen me on the hill? Did you ever question why? Like a cat up on the sill I look through your eyes Your lips move in a silent prayer Between the smiles and the tears You’ll never know how much I really care (Chorus) Sleepwalker, please, open your eyes Dreams fade away under the sky Sleepwalker, please, why do you cry? Wake up from your sleep before you die (Verse) If you look inside your soul Can you tell me what went wrong? Time takes its toll The nights are long Your face follows wherever I go Can I come to you tonight? Just give me a chance to make it right. (Chorus) Sleepwalker, please, open your eyes Dreams fade away under the sky Sleepwalker, please, why do you cry? Wake up from your sleep before you die (Solo) Sleepwalker, please, why do you cry? Wake up from your sleep before you die Wake up from your sleep before you die

Turn on Your Lovelight (Tony Marsico 2023) (Verse) The moonless night holds you like a spell Trapped inside the hollow of a well You feed the darkness, and you long for the night And hide from the morning light (Verse) I remember your eyes, as blue as the sea The look on your face, ever so free The tide ahead was high and so strong But I can’t remember when things went wrong (Chorus) Turn on your lovelight, baby Let it shine for the world to see Turn on your lovelight, baby And come running back, running back to me (Verse) Come out of the darkness, and into the light The sadness you feel, fills up the night Now the birds in the trees, sing a sad song I can’t remember when things went wrong (Chorus) Turn on your lovelight, baby Let it shine for the world to see Turn on your lovelight, baby And come running back, running back to me (Bridge) Try to get on through Across the great divide Turn on your love Turn on your love And make it to the other side (Solo) (Chorus) Turn on your lovelight, baby Let it shine for the world to see Turn on your lovelight, baby And come running back, running back to me Turn on your lovelight, baby Let it shine for all to see Just turn on your lovelight, baby And come running back to me Running back to me

“Guilty of That” (Tony Marsico 2023) (Verse) Lock me up and throw away the key I was blind, now it’s clear to see When I held you tight you only wanted to be free Like a shooting star in the sky Love faded, it all but died I sit and wait, and I just wonder why (Chorus) I’m sorry, sorry Sorry, so sorry If I loved you too much I guess I’m guilty of that (Verse) All your kisses are a mystery Whatever happened to eternity? You turned the page and now it’s history I pay the price and carry the weight I do my time, but it’s much too late It happened in a twisted hand of fate (Chorus) I’m sorry, sorry Sorry, so sorry If I loved you too much I guess I’m guilty of that If I loved you too much I guess I’m guilty of that I guess I’m guilty of that (Solo) (Chorus) I’m sorry, sorry Sorry, so sorry If I loved you too much I guess I’m guilty of that (Bridge) I fight, I scream Caught up in a river of dreams My crime, my fate It’s too much, too little, too late Little too late… (Chorus) I’m sorry, sorry Sorry, so sorry If I loved you too much I guess I’m guilty of that (Chorus) I’m sorry, sorry Sorry, so sorry If I loved you too much I guess I’m guilty of that If I loved you too much I guess I’m guilty of that I guess I’m guilty of that Guilty of that…

Rum Bar Records release 2023 CD available: rumbarrecords.com
"Guilty Of That" official video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyTT74DCWaY

"Sleepwalker, his latest work as a solo artist, reveals a sixties-derived power pop jones and an absolutely winsome singing voice." - Big Takeover Magazine

"For some of us, down-time is a luxury. But to Tony, it’s almost a punishment. Lucky for us, because it allows him to step out of his comfort zone. Sleepwalker is crisp, concise and compelling. More please." - Coachella Valley Weekly

"Accompanied by guitarist Jonathan Lea from the Jigsaw Seen and Cruzados drummer Rob Klonel, Marsico breaks out the 12-strings for “Turn On Your Love Light” (which somehow manages to keep that moldy imagery sounding fresh) and title track (produced and harmonized by old pal Carla Olson), turns up the r’n’r heat in “Rocket Girl,” and soaks himself in sweetness for the lovely “Guilty of That.” He closes the EP with a faithful cover of the Roky Erickson gem “Starry Eyes,” which lays out his pop & roll intentions as well as anything he wrote himself. Alongside the artistic renaissance of the Cruzados, Sleepwalker shows Marsico to be a perfectly modern traditionalist." - Michael "Denim" Toland

"Rum Bar continues to pick winners like this. They make it look easy." - Boston Groupie News

"The twelve string playing made us immediately think of the Byrds. It’s not just the guitars but the whole package that kept us listening. The songwriting, singing and the arrangement all make it pay off. Marsico proves he has something to give." - Paul Blowfish

"Let's face it. Tony Marsico not only sounds like he was a members of The Searchers at the time of 'Needles And Pins', he looks it too. Add a The Byrds sounding Rickenbacker guitar and everyone listening to this song, and has some musical "education" when younger than 68 years old, is catapulted back to the golden pop era from before the summer of love, so 1964-1966. When The Beatles still held hands, The Byrds electrified Dylan and The Searchers scored a few hitsingles." - WoNo Blog

Rickenbacker jangle, McGuinn pop sensibility, Sweet-Twilley harmonies, Tony Marsico's debut solo release is a musical buried treasure.
